Trial accounts and upgrading
How the free trial works, what the 14-day and 50-minute limits mean, and how to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your plan.
Free trial
New accounts start with a trial period. During the trial:
You can create agents, make test calls, and receive real calls.
A trial minute limit applies (shown on the Billing page).
The sidebar shows a trial nudge with days remaining and a link to upgrade.
What happens when the trial ends
If your trial minutes are exhausted or the trial period expires:
All agents are automatically paused and stop accepting calls.
The Billing page shows "Trial ended" with a prompt to subscribe.
Your data (calls, transcripts, contacts, configurations) is preserved.
Upgrading
Required role: Owner only. Admins and Members cannot access billing actions.
Go to Billing from the user menu.
Click Upgrade.
You are redirected to Stripe checkout to select a plan and enter payment details.
After payment, your subscription activates immediately and agents resume.
Downgrading
Required role: Owner only.
Go to Billing.
Select a different plan.
The change takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
If the lower plan has fewer agent slots than you currently use, you may need to deactivate agents first.
Canceling
Required role: Owner only.
You can cancel your subscription from the Billing page. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period (cancel at period end).
