Provisioning a phone number
How to provision a number
Go to your agent's Channels > Phone page.
Choose one of these options:
Provision a new number
Select an area code or prefix.
Browse available numbers.
Click to provision. The number is assigned to your agent immediately.
Use an existing number (call forwarding)
Enter your existing business number or Twilio SIP trunk configuration.
Set up call forwarding from your carrier to route calls to VoiceCraft.
Reuse a released number
If you have previously released a number from another agent, it appears in your available pool.
Select it to reassign to this agent.
After provisioning
Once a phone number is assigned, the Deploy button becomes active. Deploy your agent to start receiving live calls on that number.
Phone number sources
VoiceCraft provisions numbers through Twilio or Plivo, depending on your region and configuration. The provisioning is handled automatically.
