Understanding your plan and usage
Where to find your plan details and usage data, what the numbers mean, and how notifications work when you approach your limits.
The Billing page
Go to Billing from the user menu. Here you see your current subscription details:
Plan information
Plan name and tier
Billing cycle (monthly or annual)
Current billing period start and end dates
Monthly price
Whether the plan is set to cancel at period end
Usage (current period)
Minutes used — Combined call and SMS usage for this billing period
Minutes included — How many minutes your plan includes
Overage rate — Cost per minute if you exceed your included minutes
Plan limits
Max agents — How many receptionists you can create
Knowledge storage — Maximum MB of uploaded documents
Form templates — How many form templates you can create
What counts as usage
Call minutes and SMS activity are metered in real time. After each call, usage is incremented and reported to your billing provider.
Usage notifications
VoiceCraft sends you a notification when you reach:
80% of your included minutes
100% of your included minutes (at your limit)
150% of your included minutes (deep into overage)
This gives you time to act before charges accumulate further.
The Manage button
On the Billing page, click Manage to open the Stripe billing portal in a new tab. There you can update your payment method, download invoices, and view your billing history. You return to VoiceCraft when you close that tab.
Daily spend cap
You can set a Daily spend cap on the Billing page to limit how much you are charged for overage in a single day. When the cap is reached, calls go to voicemail for the rest of that day. The cap resets at midnight. Leave the field empty to use your plan's default cap.
