Set up your POS integration
Connect Square or Clover to VoiceCraft so your menu stays in sync and phone orders push to your POS automatically.
Prerequisites
Owner or Admin role on your VoiceCraft workspace.
An active Square or Clover account with API access enabled on your plan.
Connect your POS
Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar to open the account menu.
Click Integrations.
Scroll to the Point of Sale section.
Find the Square or Clover card and click Connect.
You are redirected to your POS provider's authorization page. Sign in and approve the connection.
After approving, you return to the Integrations page. The card shows a green Connected dot and the time of the last successful sync.
Your menu items, categories, and modifiers are imported automatically as soon as the connection is confirmed.
What happens after connecting
Menu import: VoiceCraft pulls your full menu catalog on first connect.
Ongoing sync: Your menu stays up to date automatically as you make changes in your POS.
Order push: When a caller confirms a phone order, VoiceCraft pushes it to your POS in real time.
Menu ownership: While connected, your POS is the source of truth. Item names, prices, and categories are read-only in VoiceCraft. Change them in Square or Clover and they sync across.
Disconnect your POS
Go to Integrations (avatar menu, bottom-left).
On the POS card, click Disconnect.
Click Yes to confirm.
Your existing menu items are not deleted. Automatic syncing and order push stop immediately. You can reconnect at any time.
What to expect
After a successful connection you will see:
A green Connected dot on the POS card.
Your menu available under your receptionist's Duties tab via Manage menu.
A sync timestamp on the card showing when data was last pulled from your POS.
If the card shows a red Sync error dot instead, the most recent sync failed. See Troubleshooting below.
Troubleshooting
The POS card shows "Sync error". The last sync failed. The most common cause is an expired or revoked authorization. Disconnect and reconnect to start a fresh session.
Menu is connected but some items are missing. Certain POS plans restrict API access to specific item types. Confirm the items are published and visible in your POS catalog and that your plan includes full API item access.
Orders confirmed in VoiceCraft do not appear in your POS. Check that the connection is still active (no Sync error dot). Also confirm that your POS plan includes API order creation, as some entry-level plans do not support it.
